As a content marketer for over 20 years, ChatGPT is the most helpful tool I’ve ever used. While its capabilities are unprecedented, it’s important to remember that AI-generated text is a tool, not a replacement for a human content marketer.

Think about the printing press. Just like ChatGPT, the printing press was a major innovation. Many believed it would put printers out of business, but it wound up allowing printers to work faster and more efficiently. ChatGPT will do the same for content marketers.

ChatGPT can’t (yet) replace a human content marketer because it lacks prose. Prose sets the writing of one person apart from another. It’s used in every form of writing, from novels to technical writing, and it is what enables writers to adapt their style to suit different audiences and purposes.

ChatGPT’s lack of prose is essentially how AI-writing detectors can identify whether an article was written by a human or an AI.

Enhances Writing Skills, but Does Not Replace Them

As a content and copywriter, I haven’t been losing sleep or wearing a path on the floor over ChatGPT. I can see ample opportunities for its usefulness, including streamlining the writing process, optimizing content for search, and creating comprehensive content.

However, ChatGPT is not a substitute for human creativity, nor is it a silver bullet for higher rankings and content creation. It should never be relied on for complete content creation—users must still fact-check their work, edit the outputs, and include their own expertise to make the content useful. This is the only way that ChatGPT content will align with Google’s community guidelines and not be considered spam.

Speaking as a writer, I believe creators will need to use ChatGPT with intention and ethics. Learn to work with the tool and use it to enhance your skills, not replace them.

This saves a lot of manual time working on tools such as Excel and analyzing the data manually. Instead, paste the data into ChatGPT, and ask it to do whatever you want! That’s how simple it is.

Personalizes Customer Interactions

I think ChatGPT is a versatile tool that companies can use to personalize their customer interactions, improve engagement, generate leads, and promote their brand effectively. It can be a useful tool for web and app development companies like ours to promote services in several ways.

For example, you can integrate ChatGPT into your website to provide customers with a personalized chat experience that answers their general questions. Plus, you can also use it as a marketing tool through social media platforms like Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp: companies can create chatbots using ChatGPT that engage with potential customers by providing them with relevant information about the company’s products. 

Our content managers also use ChatGPT for content generation. Of course, it can not replace a specialist, but it can be a pretty effective digital assistant. The only disadvantage is you have to do proper fact-checking when using ChatGPT as the statistics or given numbers are often incorrect.

Brainstorms Ideas

Being a leader, I find ChatGPT useful in many ways. The best way I can use the tool is to brainstorm ideas. Since you can ask questions and get impressive answers, there must be many good ideas in the content. I work in an advertising firm, so for me coming up with new ideas every time is crucial.

The interface is pretty simple and straightforward. Unfortunately, there were plenty of errors in its database and just some plain misinformation. For citing sources, it failed miserably. I decided to see if I could use ChatGPT to help me write a blog post. It did a decent job of gathering some topic information and summarization. But I had to do some pretty heavy editing since I was concerned about the quality of the blog post, so there is that. 

Like any tool, it can craft fine art or wreck your project when used carelessly.

I have learned how #ChatGPT ✌ can help us be able to write faster and smarter; generate topic ideas, captions, and subject lines, give us (questionable) feedback on what we have written so far; and generate topic ideas, captions, and subject lines. But the best editorial content is still written by humans and it will be, informed by thoughtful insights and personal experiences, despite ChatGPT’s clear, concise, and logical copy.
